The Bath Ritual Duo exists for the moment between the end of a day and the moment of rest. The award-winning shower oil cleanses without disrupting the skin's natural moisture barrier, the way a shower oil should. The serum lotion follows on still-damp skin, holding moisture in the layers the shower has just hydrated. Both preparations are formulated by our founder chemist for dry skin. Together they deliver the full discipline of barrier-conscious cleansing and hydration in a single ritual.

The scents are made to layer. The shower oil is bright citrus and green tea over warm woods. The serum lotion is a tea accord of bergamot and mugwort that lingers long after you've stepped out. Both are calm and spa-like, never sugary.

Chemist-led. Clean formulation.

Both preparations are sulfate-free, soap-free, paraben-free, phthalate-free and mineral oil-free. Both are built on PENTAVITIN® Moisture Binding Technology, which is clinically studied for supporting the skin's moisture levels for up to 24 hours. The serum lotion adds Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) and seven fruit extracts. Every ingredient is chosen for a reason, with nothing added for padding.

The shower oil cleanses without stripping, so your skin starts out comfortable. The serum-lotion locks that softness in. Together, skin stays soft long after the shower.

1. Cleanse face and body with Midnight Shikoku Shower Oil.
2. For your face, follow with your usual skincare. Then smooth Skin Elixir Serum Lotion over still-damp skin on your body.
3. Dress, and let the day go.

Phthalates are sometimes added to perfume to make a scent last longer. On a label they hide inside the single word "Fragrance", so you can't see them. Some phthalates are banned from cosmetics in the EU over concerns about their effects on hormones. We'd rather not leave it to chance, so we ask our fragrance house to leave all phthalates out of every scent we use. Ours still stays with you.

IFRA, the International Fragrance Association, sets the global safety standards for fragrance ingredients: what's allowed, and how much. A product that stays on your skin gets stricter limits than a wash you rinse off. Our fragrance house certifies every Vase Creation scent against these limits for the exact product it goes into.
